Eight decades leave behind a collection of stories—some remembered clearly, some rediscovered, and some that only become meaningful with the passage of time. I've spent the past two years putting some of those stories into words.

My books reflect a curiosity about life that began early and has never ended. From a childhood in the South and first love, through military service in Vietnam, marriage and family, and a career, there have been moments of wonder, loss, adventure, and discovery.
